The decision has been taken. The next MUNICH APPAREL SOURCE will be held from 3 to 5 September 2019 – as an integrated event of MUNICH FABRIC START and directly connected to the MOC.
The strategic and future-oriented new concept of dovetailing the two trade events in terms of both location and content is the result of an intense survey of the current market requirements as well as exhibitor and visitor expectations.
The trade fair location of Munich offers optimum prerequisites for giving visitors comprehensive insight into the entire textile production chain and therefore also real synergy effects. This means MUNICH FARBIC START is also continuing the strategy of extending its portfolio to include the next stage in the value added chain – thereby offering a comprehensive service and product range for the fashion industry at one location.
MUNICH APPAREL SOURCE – MANUFACTURING & SOURCING Celebrating its debut at the Munich trade fair location was MUNICH APPAREL SOURCE as a logical consequence in order to present the segments of design, manufacturing, including fabric and findings sourcing in their entirety and with continuity. This new trade fair was kicked off by the patterns X.0 conference on the digitalisation of the value chain with an excellent line-up of speakers and it was hosted by Holger Knapp, General Manager at Deutscher Fachverlag.
Answers, outlooks and examples from manufacturing and distribution processes were presented by co-organiser Hans Peter Hiemer, b4b GmbH besides Robert Sinclair President of Li&Fung, Hong Kong and Martijn Hagman, CFO of Tommy Hilfiger/PvH Europe, to name but a few speakers.

CEMSEL is a Turkish producer of light wovens, jeans, jackets, knitwear, jerseys and outerwear in a wide variety of price categories. The company has 30 years of experience and works with 90% local materials. Cemsel supplies customers from Italy, Spain, Germany, England and France, from fast fashion retailers through to designer labels.
Cemsel manufactures in line with the trends and sees a focus in the coming season on athleisure, colourfulness, strong prints, preppy chic, menswear materials, glitter and foiled prints and opulence with lace, velvets and jacquards. Find Cemsel at booth H2 | D 01.
X-COMPANY - For the winter collection by X-Company the focus is on creating customized items with a strong seasonal focus on
colors, prints and textured fabrics that will make the collection an eye-catcher. The surfaces will feature jacquards, fake-fur, glitter and 3D-structures. Visit X-Company at booth H2 | E01.
In view of the current market developments and globally changing production locations 5 to 7 September 2017 will see MUNICH APPAREL SOURCE open its doors in Munich for the first time. Running concurrently with MUNICH FABRIC START some 200 international manufacturing firms will present their range of products, process solutions and services in the field of manufacturing and sourcing in Munich.
The range is addressed to European brands and retailers seeking reliable production partners with high quality standards worldwide. The aim here, in particular, is to present new sourcing countries and their potential, their solutions and services. Thanks to the two complementary trade fair formats this complex portfolio now enjoys a joint platform in Munich.
